The topic i decided that i would like to research for the remainder of the semester is "Do video games prevent someone from having an active social life?" Being a "gamer" as some may call it myself, this topic interests me very much. When people find out that i play video games some of their reactions are "O you play games you dont go out or have friends." when in actuality the situation is the complete opposite. One of the main reasons i play video games is because with things such as X-box Live you can play with or against someone anywhere in the world. This is a great way for me to keep in touch with friends who have went away for college or dont live near me. Even though with me the situation is different, i do see people who completely throw themselves into video games going as far as to dressing up as a character and going to conventions or constantly talking about how they got to the highest level or beat the all time high score. . Some might say these people have no life but in doing so arent they interacting with others?

I feel that is a very strong topic because of the fact there are so many people that play videos everyday. This will be very intersting.
This is very cool. This is always being expressed by parents and the "professionals" if video games do harm in social life. The answers should be pretty interesting

I myself play video games, just like many others do. I believe people can have a social life in a gaming world, but it can be different from the real world.
i like that you choose this topic becasue a lot of people do stereotype about people who play video games and they need to realize that not all people are the typical video "gamer."
